John R. Northrup, DPM, DABPM, FACFAS, FABFAS
Dr. John Northrup was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and spent a significant portion of his adolescent years split between south Florida and St. Augustine, Florida. He is a military veteran, having spent 6 years in the United States Navy. He completed his undergraduate studies at Florida International University in Miami, Florida before earning his Doctoral degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, Florida. Dr. Northrup then went on to complete an extensive 3-year surgical residency at Northwest Medical Center in Margate, Florida receiving comprehensive training in elective and non-elective foot and ankle surgery, reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage.
Dr. Northrup is Board Certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. He specializes in conservative and surgical treatment of many conditions of the foot and ankle. He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeon, Florida Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Northrup maintains privileges at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida.
Dr. Northrup resides in St. Augustine, Florida. In his spare time Dr. Northrup enjoys working out (crossfit), traveling, and spending time with his 2 teenage children.
Nicole Gortaire, DPM, DABPM
Dr. Nicole Gortaire earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a focus in Public Health from the University of Florida. She then graduated from Barry University’s School of Podiatric Medicine (Miami Shores, FL) with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine in 2020. Dr. Gortaire completed a vigorous 3-year surgical residency at Keralty Hospital, formerly known as Westchester General Hospital. Dr. Gortaire is a well-rounded podiatrist and takes pride in treating various foot and ankle conditions, both conservatively and surgically. Having been born in Ecuador, she is fluent in Spanish and has over 3 years of experience providing excellent care to Spanish-speaking patients.
Dr. Gortaire Board Certified with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, Florida Podiatric Medical Association, American Podiatric Medical Association, and American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
In her spare time Dr. Gortaire loves to spend time with her two dogs, rescue and foster dogs, and practice yoga.
